International seminar Public Health Research in Palliative Care, 17-18 Nov 2020


Organised by All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC), the European Association for Palliative Care (EAPC) Research Network and the EAPC Reference Group on Public Health and Palliative Care, this second international seminar has been postponed to 17-18 Nov. 2020 and will go online.

The theme of the seminar - Public Health Research in Palliative Care : Towards Solutions for Global Challenges - is ever more relevant in the context of the Covid-19 Coronavirus pandemic.

  • Mark Hazelwood, Chief Executive, Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care             

  • Rebecca Patterson, Director of Good Life, Good Death, Good Grief, Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care          

  • Prof.  Sonja McIlfatrick, Head of School of Nursing and Professor of Nursing and Palliative Care, Ulster University

  • Sally Paul, Lecturer in the School of Social Work and Social Policy, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow

  • Prof. Samar Aoun, Professor of Palliative Care, La Trobe University and the Perron Institute for Neurological and Translational Science, Australia

  • Prof. Joachim Cohen, Professor of Public Health and Palliative Care, End-of-Life Care Research Group of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University

Date for submission of abstracts has been extended to 24 July 2020 and another theme has been added in light of Covid-19.
